A Special Meeting was held in Roade Village Hall on the 10 th May 2006 to discuss various issues relating to Roade Village’s Anti- Social Behaviour problems plus other similar and related problems in and around the Southern and for that matter ALL areas of the County.
Those taking part in this, the first of many meetings to be held were: Front Row: PC Justin Brown the Police ASBO Tsar – Deborah Harding of the Crown Prosecution Service – Glenn Dudman of Roade Parish Council.
Back Row: Bill Dredge, Chairman Northamptonshire NHW Association – Mrs Chris Lumbis Chairman Western Area NHW Support Team – Dr John Gwilt of Roade NHW and Roade Parish Council and Aaron Goddard the Community Watch Liaison Officer.
A very useful and constructive meeting from which everyone took something that should ultimately benefit all communities.
Could this be the new way forward? – I certainly hope so.
Bill Dredge
Chairman
Northamptonshire NeighbourHood Watch Association.

TRICKSTERS …
A Show staged and financed by Northants Police and fully supported by NHW…
Around Sixty people from across our Village and the surrounding neighbouring Villages enjoyed superb show called musical Tricksters. It was written by an ex Policeman and gives out a very strong message about the need for great care to be taken when answering the door – In fact the message is exactly that we’ve been giving out for the last year or more… IF YOU’RE NOT SURE - DON’T OPEN THE DOOR.
The message was delivered in a really entertaining and friendly way and everyone at the show joined in the singsong and thoroughly enjoyed what was a really entertaining and yet very informative show… They also enjoyed the refreshments laid on after the show.
There were members of our Police Service, Trading Standards and Friends and Colleagues from other NHW Associations from Leicestershire and our own Chair of the Western Area NHW Support Team – Chris Lumbis…
Thank you to everyone who supported this excellent event… AND to everyone in the Village we would like to repeat the Show’s message….
When you get a knock on the door or a ring of the bell… Please remember…
IF YOU DON’T KNOW THEM – OR YOU’RE NOT SURE… DON’T LET THEM IN… |
