The Ex Serviceman's
Club is situated in Bailey Brooks Lane. For many years
it was known as the British Legion, and although it
was changed to a club some years ago, the British
legion still meets there.

Please note that the Club is CIU affiliated and now has key card access in operation.

Anyone wishing to join can do so by calling at the Club or for further information cantact the Club on 01604 – 862861.
Membership is still being taken for this year and anyone still wishing to join please come along and do so, we would love to see you in 2007.
Renewal envelopes are available at the bar and cards may be left at any time, they will be updated within seven days of receipt and should you wish them to be mailed to your home address please enclose a SAE.
As you may be aware, in the last 20 months we have managed to pay off all the clubs outstanding debts, which were in excess of 50k. This coming year we are looking to make significant improvements to the décor of the premises both inside and out and add further services to create a more pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere whilst you spend your time with us. Our achievements thus far and our plans for the future are very much dependent on our members continued custom, and we hope to see you again soon.
The access key-card system is now fully operative in an effort to ensure that non-members and undesirables do not gain access. However, should you have any complaints or concerns on any aspect of the club please do not hesitate to write or speak to a committee member, we will endeavour to resolve any issues you may have to your complete satisfaction.
The Chairman & Committee do hope to see you again in the near future, please see our future entertainments leaflets detailing our fourth coming events.
We now also have Sky Television so you can watch the run up to the end of the current football season as well as the World Cup, Rugby and all other major sporting events.
On Monday nights we now have “Line Dancing” which is proving very popular with over 30 attending, beginner’s classes start at 8pm and for those who are more advanced at 9pm or if you prefer we still have “Salsa Dancing” on Friday nights.

A 1 a.m. bar is available at an additional cost
To secure a booking please fill out a form available from behind the bar to be submitted at the next Committee meeting. On confirmation of your booking the full cost of room hire will become due immediately. N.B. Failure to pay hire fee could result in the loss of your booking.
CONCERT ROOM HIRE SHOULD BE BOOKED AT LEAST 3 MONTHS IN ADVANCE IN ORDER TO GUARANTEE AVAILABILITY.

club would certainly have closed.
We do however need for your
continued support in order
to move the club forward
and make the necessary improvements
for your benefit.
In order to try and cater
for everyone there will be the occasional
event with a more adult
theme. We will also be looking to limiting
numbers by ticket only entry
on certain events to save on
overcrowding and to make
your evening as pleasurable as possible.
