The second concert
to be held in the Village Hall in over 25 years was
a huge success; it was enjoyed by an audience of over
eighty people made up of villagers from Roade, Stoke
Bruerne and Hartwell, as well as from Buckingham,
Northampton, Bedford and Milton Keynes.
The magical finger
work of all three musicians was spellbinding to watch
and a joy to listen to. It was indeed a truly memorable
experience.
It was made even
more pleasurable to know that we could or should have
paid anything in the region of £25 per ticket
to watch such genius at work, when you consider that
these artists normally play The Albert Hall, The Sydney
Opera House, Carnegie Hall and the like. We were absolutely
thrilled to have them in the village - they, in turn,
were impressed, not only with our superb hall and
its facilities but with our village as well.
Following this success
we will be staging other shows. If you would like
to make any suggestions, please let us know and we'll
do our level best to provide it.
